Location and park fit
Stella Nova opened in 2025 alongside Epic Universe, at the southern end of the Universal campus. It is close to the newest park and connected to the rest of the resort by Universal transport.
For a trip weighted towards Epic Universe that is a genuinely useful position at a value price. For a trip weighted towards Universal Studios Florida, the older hotels nearer those gates make more sense.
Rooms and family fit
Standard rooms sleep four and two-bedroom suites are published for six. That is the same configuration Universal uses at Endless Summer, and it is the reason a family of six can stay on-site here without paying a Premier rate.
Suites include a kitchenette rather than a kitchen, which covers breakfast and reheating and not cooking.
Transport and mobility
This is a shuttle hotel. There is no walking path to a park entrance, so every park day begins with Universal transport.
That is a real difference from the Premier and Preferred hotels, and the main thing you are giving up for the lower rate.
Park benefits
On-site guests receive early park admission, with the parks covered set by Universal. Stella Nova is a Prime Value hotel and does not include the Express benefit.
Universal has long included Universal Express Unlimited for guests at its three Premier hotels, at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It has not covered Volcano Bay, and how it applies at Epic Universe is set separately. Confirm the current terms with Universal before booking on that basis.
Pool and rest-day fit
There is a pool and a fitness centre. This is a hotel built around park access at a low rate rather than around a resort day, and a family wanting a proper rest day should look at Cabana Bay instead.
Cost beyond the room
Staying on-site removes theme park parking from the trip. Resort charges and self-parking arrangements should be confirmed with the hotel directly.
You get on-site benefits and a suite for six at a value price, and you give up the walking paths that make Universal's more expensive hotels worth their premium.
