When Disney assembled the land for Walt Disney World, one parcel stayed in other hands. Decades later it was developed into a cluster of large resorts that sit inside the Disney property boundary without being Disney hotels. Two of them carry Official Walt Disney World Hotel status.
The practical result is a set of resorts with Hilton, Marriott and Wyndham pool complexes, spa facilities and golf, a few minutes from Disney park entrances, at rates set by hotel companies rather than by Disney.
Bonnet Creek resorts recover the cost of large facilities through resort fees and parking charges. A rate here that looks similar to a Disney Value resort is not similar once those are added. Ask for the all-in nightly total.
