Universal Helios Grand Hotel

Location and park fit

Helios Grand sits inside Epic Universe, at the southern end of the Universal Orlando campus. Universal opened the park in May 2025 and the hotel with it, which makes this the only hotel-and-park pairing of its kind in the city.

The practical consequence is that the walk from your room to the park entrance is measured in minutes, not in transfers. For the two original parks and Volcano Bay you use Universal's own transport, which is straightforward and is a transfer rather than a walk.

Rooms and family fit

Standard rooms are configured for four, with suites available for larger parties. That is the usual Universal pattern and it means a family of five or six should check suite availability rather than assuming a standard room will do.

Because the hotel is new, the rooms are the newest on the campus, which is worth something on a week-long stay.

Transport and mobility

This is a hotel you can use without a car. Epic Universe is on foot, and Universal transport reaches CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay.

If you are also visiting Walt Disney World, that journey is a cross-city trip and a rideshare or a car becomes part of the plan.

Park benefits

All Universal on-site hotels carry early park admission, with the parks covered set by Universal. Helios Grand is classified in Universal's Premier tier.

Universal has long included Universal Express Unlimited for guests at its three Premier hotels, at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It has not covered Volcano Bay, and how it applies at Epic Universe is set separately. Confirm the current terms with Universal before booking on that basis.

Pool and rest-day fit

There is a pool and a fitness centre, and the hotel is designed around access to the park rather than around a resort day. If a long afternoon at the pool is part of your plan, Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls do that better.

Cost beyond the room

You are not paying theme park parking, because you are not driving in. Resort charges and any parking fee for guests who do bring a car should be confirmed directly with the hotel, because they change and this site does not publish figures it cannot verify.
