What the area is and is not

Lake Buena Vista sits immediately east of Walt Disney World, and the name covers two different things: the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, which are inside the Disney property boundary, and the much larger cluster of independent hotels and condo resorts just outside it.

Both are close to the eastern Disney entrances. Only the first group is walkable to anything, and only some of those. Everywhere else here assumes a car or a shuttle.

Partly. The Disney Springs Resort Area hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard sit inside the Walt Disney World property boundary. The wider Lake Buena Vista area is an independent commercial district just outside it.

Is Lake Buena Vista better than Kissimmee for Disney?
