Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal Aventura Hotel are the two with a walking path to Volcano Bay. Cabana Bay is the family answer, Aventura the couple's one. Everything else on the campus reaches it by Universal transport, which is fine but adds a step at each end of a wet day.

Why walking matters at a water park

A water park day is different from a theme park day. You arrive with towels, you leave wet, and somebody usually wants to go back to the room mid-afternoon. Being able to walk turns that into a five-minute decision instead of a shuttle queue in a wet swimsuit.
